I’ve lost my head!
Guess it wasn’t fastened properly. ;-P
Catching up on what I’ve missed online the last couple weeks.
It’s true! I’m more or less back! Hopefully that means I’ll be creating new content to share with you in the near future. And expect to start seeing my likes again soon. :-)

Sagres (by John Carleton)
Feeling nostalgic today.
In 2002 I traveled to Spain. Sheelagh was studying in Granada, and I decided to book a ten day trip to see the sights. She met me in Madrid where we rented a car and drove west to Portugal with no set itinerary. When we hit the coast we headed south. Avoiding the highways whenever possible and stopping frequently. We’d stop for the night when we got tired or found a place we’d like to explore further the following day.
My favorite spot from the whole trip was Sagres, the southernmost tip of Portugal. We ended up staying there two nights. It was before tourist season, and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I took this photo inside one of the caves on the beach at the bottom of a steep rock cliff. I can’t look at it without smiling. :-)
GPOYW (by John Carleton)
I was arrested for misdemeanor vandalism when I was fresh out of college. True story.
The eyes represent those of my guardian angel, watching my back. He didn’t get a moment’s rest while I was in (and fresh out of) college.
Thankfully I’ve matured a bit since then. :-)
Rock on (by John Carleton)
Trying out this technique - putting Fujifilm Instax Mini film in the Rollei.
I call it Rolleiflinstax! ;-)
Burned almost half the pack before I figured out how to do it correctly. I’m using the rollers from my Holgaroid to spread the developer, but it’s not getting consistent coverage. Will have to play with other methods.

I’m a lucky guy! (by John Carleton)
Figured I’d post another GPOYW… This was taken on Sunday on our way home from family camp. Me and the missus, and baby #4. :-)
