PENTAX 6x7 GIVEAWAY FOR CHARITY! (rules in comments) by Emily Tebbetts on Flickr. Many of you know that my mom died a little over a year ago after a 10 year battle with Breast Cancer. Before she died, I did a big fundraiser where I shaved my head, and YOU helped me raise nearly $13,000 for Komen North Jersey.

This year, I’m walking in the Race for the Cure on May 6th in memory of my mom, who I miss dearly every single day. My goal is $5,000, and so far, I’ve raised $3,500.

Though I’m not shaving my head this year, I thought I’d do a “giveaway” of sorts. I was going to sell my Pentax 6x7 medium format film camera (with working light meter and 105 2.4 lens). Though it’s a little worn on the outside, it works perfectly and takes beautiful pictures.

BUT, the camera is worth $550+ and many people were interested but not able to afford it. So, I thought… why not turn this into a giveaway for charity? It will give people a chance to win a GREAT camera at extremely low cost, and if they don’t win, at least the money is going to a great cause!

BONUS: Alexandra Sophie has kindly offered to send a free curve to anyone who enters, and I will do the same! So EACH person who donates gets 2 free curves no matter what! We are working out details now.

RULES:

TO ENTER, donate $10 to my fundraising effort and share this— by reblogging on tumblr if you find it there, or by “sharing” on facebook if you found it there.

That’s all! If you wish to enter more than once, just share once and for every $10 you donate, you will get an entry. So $50 = 5 entries.

I’d appreciate it if you could share this even if you don’t enter. I will do the drawing on Mother’s Day (May 13th) because I am doing this in memory of my mom. I need at least 60 entries to make this worthwhile, so please share! Thank you so much, and GOOD LUCK! :)

donate to a good cause and maybe win an awesome camera!

Picked up two rolls from Blue Moon and both had frame spacing issues. Decided to leave Royce there to be serviced. In 3-4 weeks I’ll have him back in like new condition!

Roger “Butter Beard” Griswold, sporting his patented “helmet cam wearing a helmet”, is about to pop a mean wheelie.

I think we need to see a photo of that pathetic facial hair before you tick that last box.

Merry Christmas to me! (by John Carleton)

My sister-in-law’s father gave me a box of film cameras and gear for Christmas. I’m most excited about the Miranda Sensorex he bought when stationed overseas. I loaded my roll of Kodachrome in it and shot most of it before the rain hit today. Will probably finish it off tonight or tomorrow morning so I can get it to Dwayne’s by the deadline!
