For what it is, the Lomokino is fun. Relatively easy to load and use. The instructions that come with it are light, so be sure to visit www.lomokino.com for instructional videos. And as far as I’m concerned, the Lomokinoscope is worthless. Difficult to load and use, plus you’re still just looking at the negatives so you don’t get the real movie experience. Better to scan and animate. Or project, but I haven’t even begun to think about how to go about doing that. :-)

Bottom line - it’s a fun toy camera that allows for vintage feeling home movies. Definitely a solid addition to the Lomography family, and a good purchase if you like playing with film.

Cosmic Mission (by John Carleton)

Another accidental double exposure. This is my fave from that roll. It couldn’t have came out more perfect if I had planned it.

Have a great weekend, Tumblr!

Dream Machine (by John Carleton)

From the same roll as previous. Actually just a little further down the roll - I’m sure you can see the overlap. Because it was an accidental double exposure, I didn’t in any way try to make the frames line up. So when it came to printing, I had all sorts of choices to make. :-)

Dream a little dream (by John Carleton)

Wow, as I was posting this I just realized it’s from 2001. TEN years ago! Damn. Time flies, huh? Anyway, this is from back when I was rolling my own 35mm rolls from 100’ reels because I had awesome darkroom access at Santa Clara University and plenty of time. Those were the days.
