Still haven’t figured out negative scanning. When I look at the negative, it’s totally sharp; I nailed the focus. Scan it, and it’s soft. I can only assume the scanner isn’t focusing correctly on the negative. I’m using a Epson V700 with film holder. Have you had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it?

I ended up getting the v500 and have the same problem. I end up scanning overly huge and then exporting small from Lightroom, to the horror of my processing-power-challenged laptop. Tips from people who have a clue would be greatly appreciated.
